James Carr, Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, has more than 20 years of experience in managing the financing of start-up and rapidly growing companies. James is the founder of Chicago investment banking firm Carr, Nickey & Co., which provides equity and debt placement services as well as strategic and financial consulting services to middle market companies; including those in the health care sector.
Prior to founding Carr, Nickey and Company, James founded and served as head of the North American Communications Industries Group at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. At AMRO, James initiated lending to and managed a portfolio of credits for companies in the communication industry including cellular, paging, radio and television broadcasting, outdoor advertising, and magazine publishing. He also expanded ABN AMRO´s cable television portfolio.
Prior to ABN AMRO, James worked for First Chicago Bank in its Communication Industries, Public Finance, and Electric and Gas Utilities groups. James received a B.A. in English Literature from Dartmouth College and studied for his M.B.A. at the University of Chicago in Accounting and International Finance.
