William “Bill” Natale, Vice President of Media Services
, is a media expert with more than 25 years of experience in all areas of production including directing, stage management and audio recording. Bill also has extensive experience in graphics production for the web as well as print, video and outdoor applications.
As a strong supporter of health care causes, Bill produced a TV campaign at the request of The Regional Organ Bank of Illinois. The initiative surrounded then Secretary of State James Edgar’s push to get Illinois drivers to become organ donors. In January 2006, Bill organized a small group of volunteers to travel to Waveland, Mississippi and the Gulf Coast in and effort to help Katrina victims.
Bill is a member of the Directors Guild of America, the National Association of Broadcast Employees and Technicians, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the American Federation of Musicians. He has directed TV and radio productions that have featured a wide range of celebrated individuals including: Michael Jordan, Bob Newhart, George Wendt, Harry Anderson, Mr. Rogers and Al Roker.
Bill has also used his organizational skills to oversee the satellite transmission of simulcast events. He has done this for high-profile productions like the “2009 Medal of Honor Ceremony” from Soldier Field, TBS’ “The Very Funny Show” starring Tim Meadows and projects for the Food Network and Bill Kurtis Productions. In 2010, Bill traveled to India to direct the PBS documentary “Water Pressures”.
He has served as Chairman of the Broadcast Professional Marketing Association and was member of the board of directors for the Chicago chapter of the National Association of Television Arts & Sciences. Bill was also a professor at Columbia College of Chicago and the Illinois Center for Broadcasting. He currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for PanAmerica Performance Works.
As a father of two adult daughters and a son in college, Bill is proud to have authored the children’s book ‘Woolly Wurm’, which teaches children the importance of being helpful. Fifteen thousand copies of the book were distributed to youth literacy programs on behalf of the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago. The book has also been sold at the gift shops of the Chicago Field Museum, Brookfield Zoo, the Notebaert Museum, the Children’s Museum at Navy Pier and the Morton Arboretum.
